Community Football Development

The Community Football Development programme helps to create and develop opportunities to engage boys and girls in football

Our community football development programme provides opportunities at grassroots level for children aged three years and upwards. We have a diverse programme which caters and provides a variety of football opportunities. We currently offer a range of football sessions in Lincolnshire – including football in Boston, football in Skegness and football in Horncastle.

Tiny Pilgrims (boys and girls in pre school to reception) – A fun introduction to football for children aged 3-4 years. We teach fundamental football skills by using ‘guided learning’. All our games are fun and have a story the children can get into. We currently offer these football sessions in Boston, Skegness and Horncastle.

Tiny Pilgrims (boys and girls in School Year 1 and 2) – This session has an emphasis on learning skills that will help children develop into good football players. All games involve having a ball each or 1 ball between a small group so they get maximum touches whilst having fun and feeling involved. Our coaches are expert story tellers who can capture the imagination of children with the way they explain how to play each game. We currently offer these football sessions in Boston, Skegness and Horncastle.

Young Pilgrims (boys and girls in School Year 2 to 7) – Learn and develop your skills and team spirit, safely and with a sense of fun. Our Young Pilgrims session aims to build confidence to help your child both physically and mentally whilst learning and developing their football skills even further. We currently offer these football sessions in Boston and Freiston.

Player Development Centr (boys and girls 6 to 11 years) – Specialist coaching sessions are based around professional standards off the pitch, whilst also developing technically with the ball on the pitch. As part of our PDC, players can enjoy a range of master classes during selected school holidays and participate in a range of educational workshops in which parents are most welcome to attend too! We currently offer these football sessions in Boston and Skegness.

Girls’ Regional Talent Club (Under-10 to Under-16) – We offer girls the opportunity to take part and play competitive football in our elite Girls Regional Talent Club. These sessions are delivered by fully qualified coaches. If you’d like more info, please visit our Girls Regional Talent Club page, or email holly.maidens@bufc.co.uk.
