Applicants will be shortlisted and invited to attend pre-season training, with successful players being given the opportunity to study on a one or two-year BTEC education course at Boston United Sports College, along with full time professional football training. Players will also have the opportunity to represent Boston United Youth Team in the Football Conference Youth Alliance League and Cup Competitions alongside the prestigious FA Youth Cup.
We are looking to recruit talented, locally based players in the under 16/17s age group who are studying in school year 11 and lower sixth who are interested in combining training with education and obtaining a qualification at the football club’s Sports College.
This is a great opportunity for teenagers to study on a full time education course whilst receiving a daily football and sports programme. We offer unique one or two-year courses where we aim to create the best possible environment for players to excel in the classroom, as well as on the pitch.
The Youth Team is a very important part of our football club, with a clear pathway for players to progress all the way up to the first team. Following an exceptional FA Youth Cup run this season, we’ve since signed a number of players from our College and Youth Team programme to the Boston United FC First Team – a fantastic start for these young players. And that could be you!
We work hard to help players make strides towards joining Boston United’s first team and professional football, or to go on to do further studies at university as our BTEC courses are fully recognised qualifications for UCAS applications. This is also a great opportunity for any young players who have been released by a professional club but still have the ambition and aspiration to progress their football career, or who may be ‘the unpolished diamond’ that has slipped through the net who just needs the right environment to develop their ability and education. We provide that environment.
